The Division of Analytical and Environmental Toxicology has now received all four prestigious Analytical and Environmental Chemistry awards available in Canada:
- 2011 Maxxam Award awarded by the Canadian Society for Chemistry to Dr. Chris Le. This award is presented to a scientist residing in Canada who has made a distinguished contribution to the field of analytical chemistry while working in Canada.
- 2011 Environment Research and Development Award awarded by Chemical Institute of Canada to Dr. Chris Le. This award is for distinguished contributions to research and/or development in the fields of environmental chemistry or environmental chemical engineering.
- 2011 Fred Beamish Award awarded by Canadian Society for Chemistry to Dr. Jonathan Martin. This award is presented to an individual who demonstrates innovation in research to the field of analytical chemistry, where the research is anticipated to have significant potential for practical applications.
- 2010 W.A.E. McBryde Medal awarded by the Canadian Society for Chemistry to Dr. Xing-Fang Li. This award is presented to a young scientist working in Canada who has made a significant achievement in pure or applied analytical chemistry.
In recognition of her outstanding research and scholarship record, Dr. Monika Keelan has received the 2010 J William Weaver Paper of the Year Award from the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC).
Dr. Michael Mengel has been awarded the:
- Clinical Science Investigator Award (Associate Professor Level) of the American Society of Transplantation. The recipients were selected for the originality, innovation and commitment they bring to AST and the field of transplantation. Dr. Mengel’s landmark efforts are defining our understanding of rejection in the 21st century; he also played a key role in establishing the AST's Transplant Diagnostics Community of Practice.
- Research Excellence Award of the Canadian Society of Transplantation.
